Dr. Patrick Hayes

Patrick Hayes is a full professor in the Department of Chemistry at Université de Montréal. His research program focuses on the atmospheric chemistry of air pollution and climate forcing agents, and his group members undertake a variety of different projects ranging from field work in the Canadian Arctic to chemical transport modeling with high performance computing. The Hayes Group collaborates with the federal government (Environment and Climate Change Canada), the Province of Québec (Ministère de l’Environnement, de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs), as well as with the private sector (Glencore). In recognition for his work, Patrick has received several awards including the Royal Society for Chemistry (RSC) Analyst Emerging Investigator Award and the Canadian Society for Analytical Sciences and Spectroscopy (CSASS) PerkinElmer Award.
